ASPIRING TEACHER
IV. TEACHING STYLE
TEACHING STRATEGY 10

PROJECT BASED LEARNING
I would choose project based learning which ties in nicely with personalized learning. Starting with a standard, students problem solve, use inquiry, real world application, student choice, reflect, give, receive, and use feedback for improvement, and make their product public (Ferraro, et al., 2017). I like this strategy because it teaches students how to solve real life problems while learning content material.
Teaching Strategy 11

SUMMARIZE INFORMATION IN A GRAPHICAL WAY
I would choose to use graphic organizers: outlines, mind maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Graphic organizers assist students with summarizing what they have learned and understand the interrelationship between concepts being taught (Killian, 2019). This strategy benefits students by keeping them organized, classify information, and structure their writing.
Teaching Strategy 12
STUDENT PORTFOLIOS
I would use student portfolios or notebooks that would contain student works or artifacts throughout the unit.
“At the end of a unit, the summative assessment could involve students gathering a portfolio of their work that demonstrates their understanding of the conceptual relationship” (Ferraro, et al., 2017, p. 116). Each units work would be checked and grade given. Portfolio/notebook checks can be done by teacher with feedback or students can participate in peer grading using a rubric created by the teacher.
